Thespian Kavalam Narayana Panicker's last rites held at Chalayail

Kavalam died on Sunday night following age-related illness.

ALAPPPUZHA: The last rites of thespian Kavalam Narayana Panicker was held at his ancestral home Chalayail with full state honors on Tuesday evening in the presence of hundreds of people from different walks of life. It was his son and singer Kavalam Sreekumar who performed his last rites at about 4pm. His pyre was set up near the tomb of his son Kavalam Harikrishnan.

His mortal remains were brought from Thriruvananthapuran to his ancestral house at 7pm.  It was kept for the public to pay their tributes throughout the day at his tharavad. Hundreds of people offered their last respects from early morning. Kavalam died on Sunday night following age-related illness.
