Swadesh to attend global workshop on migrant workers

Adilabad: Social activist and state president of Pravasi Mitra Labour Union, Swadesh Parikipandla from Nirmal district, will represent India at the four-day international workshop on migrant labourers scheduled in Thailand from Tuesday, November 29.

The workshop is being organised by Migrant Forum in Asia (MFA), which is working in 32 countries.

Swadesh has been working on problems of migrant workers in Gulf from northern Telangana. He will be among the delegates who will be discussing issues of people migrating to Gulf for work and preparing an action plan for ensuring their welfare.

Swadesh will also participate in the general forum meeting of the MFA.
