Applications invited for energy efficiency awards

Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh state energy department will present the AP State Energy Conservation Awards (APSECA)-2022 to industries  and organisations which made significant performance in energy conservation and energy efficiency and announced December 9 as the last date for submission of applications. Special chief secretary of the energy department K. Vijayanand said the APSECM will celebrate the National Energy Conservation (EC) week from December 14 to 20.

Vijayanand said the APSECM will present the APSECA awards with an objective to give recognition to various industries, organisations and establishments which have made efforts to reduce energy consumption by adopting best energy conservation and energy efficiency measures and showcase Andhra Pradesh achievements in the energy efficiency sector.

Vijayanand instructed APSECM officials to communicate to all the government departments to ensure highest participation from the stakeholders in APSECA-2022 awards competition. He explained that competition would be conducted among different categories of consumers in industries, buildings and institutions. Thermal power plants, textiles and micro small and medium enterprises under industries category, panchayats under institutions category, RTC bus stands, bus depots, hospitals and office buildings (both government and private) with load 50 kw and above under buildings category,  which have implemented energy conservation and efficiency measures.
