KOCHI: Over a dozen Youth Congress and KSU activists waved black flags at Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan when  he arrived for the annual general meeting  of Cochin International Airport Limited at Ernakulam Fine Arts Hall on Tuesday. The protesters shouted slogans against the government and the chief minister on the self-financing medical admission issue and  the negative stand of Mr Vijayan on the fast being undertaken by Youth Congress state president Dean Kuriakose and others in the state capital.  

Police personnel were deployed from the Naval airport where the CM landed by air from the state capital in the morning and up to the Fine Arts Hall. The police removed the protestors at the Fine Arts Hall   led by Youth Congress state secretary Thambi Subramaniam, KSU district president Titto Antony, state general secretary P.Y. Shajahan and district secretary K. Sethuraj. They  were taken to the central police station and  later let off on bail. In view of the protest,  the shareholders were let in to the hall for the meet after security check.
