Three new Additional Judges to TSHC

HYDERABAD: President Droupadi Murmu has approved the appointment of advocates Alishetty Laxmi Narayana Alishetty, Jukanti Anil Kumar and judicial officer Kalasikam Sujana as additional judges of the Telangana High Court for a period of two years.

After the conclusion of the two years, they would become permanent judges.

The Supreme Court Collegium had recently recommended the names of Laxmi Narayana, Anil Kumar and judicial officer Sujana to the President for elevation as Telangana High Court judges. Following the President providing her assent, the Union government on Friday issued the notification appointing them as judges.

Alishetty has 26 years of practice in various fields of law. Anil Kumar, native of the Narayankhed, has 20 years of practice and he has been serving as standing counsel of the Telangana Legal Services Authority.

Sujana has been appointed from the judicial officers quota. She is a district judge cadre officer and currently serving as Registrar General of the Telangana High Court.
