Racket in spurious seeds busted in Hyderabad

The last case, B. Ramesh, 40, a car driver from Kavadiguda, came near the lake after getting drunk.

Hyderabad: The police busted a spurious seed racket Kandlakoya and seized stocks worth Rs 1.5 crore. The owner was arrested. Sleuths found owner Narender Kumar Jain adulterating seeds with date expired ones.

Police seized the stocks and sent samples for analysis. The police also raided Srusti Seeds in Thorrur after complaints of seeds being adulterated there.
