182 HMWS&SB employees promoted

HYDERABAD: A total of 182 employees working in various positions and departments of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) were promoted on Saturday.

179 general purpose employees (GPEs) have been promoted as special purpose employees (SPEs) and three as junior technical officers (JTOs) as assistant technical officers (ATOs) based on their respective educational qualifications. MD Dana Kishore, along with the waterworks employees union and Telangana president Rambabu Yadav attended the programme held at the head office in Khairatabad. The promoted employees were given their appointment papers and congratulated.

Speaking at the event, MD said that working for the water board can be challenging and advised those who have been promoted, to work relentlessly and with passion.

Union president Rambabu Yadav said those who have not been promoted for 28 years have finally been promoted today. “Thanks to MD who worked hard for this. We must all serve the people well and work towards the development of the board.”

The MD congratulated the working president of the union P. Narayana who was recently selected as the chairman of the State Minimum Wages Advisory Council.

Project Director Sridhar Babu, CGMs Mohammed Abdul Khader and Vinod Bhargava, associate president of Water Works Employees Union Rajireddy, Working presidents Akhtar, and Lakshmi Narayana, general secretary Jayaraj and others participated in this programme.
