Paul Antony is new Kerala Chief Secretary

Antony is 1983 batch IAS officer and empanelled as secretary, Govt. of India.

Thiruvananthapuram: Cabinet on Tuesday decided to appoint additional chief secretary (Industries, Power and Forest Department) Paul Antony as the next chief secretary. He will continue in the post till June 2018. The tenure of incumbent chief secretary  K. M. Abraham ends on December 31. Antony is 1983 batch IAS officer and empanelled as secretary, Govt. of India.  

He has done MA Economics (Delhi School Of Economics, MA public economic management (Birmingham University,  UK), and has 34 years of experience in the Indian Administrative Service. Antony was Chairman, Cochin Port Trust from 2011 to 2016. Meanwhile,  Local bodies principal secretary T K Jose will be given temporary charge of industries, KSEB chairman Elangovan will hold temporary charge of power secretary. Cabinet hailed the commendable work of Abraham as chief secretary.
