HYDERABAD: The much-awaited 660-metre-long skywalk at the Uppal crossroads is all set to be opened. In a release here on Wednesday, the HMDA said that once it is launched this will cater to an estimated 20,000 pedestrians and an equal number of Metro Rail commuters.

Coming up at a cost of Rs 25 crore, the skywalk, which is connected to all sides of the crossroads, will have eight lifts, six staircases and four escalators. Approximately 90 per cent of the skywalk is made of steel. The delay in execution of the project was because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
