Hyderabad Court grants 14 days interim bail to Sharath Reddy

HYDERABAD: A Delhi court granted 14-day interim bail to the Hyderabad-based businessman Ch. Sharath Chandra Reddy in the Delhi liquor case, to attend the final rites of his grandmother to be held on Saturday.

Sharath Chandra Reddy's grandmother Penaka Lakshmi Narayanamma had died in Hyderabad on January 25. To attend he final rites, the counsel of Sharath Chandra Reddy had filed a petition seeking bail for the businessman. The court heard arguments on Friday. While ED counsel asked the court to dismiss the petition, Sharath Chandra Reddy's counsel requested the court for bail.

The court granted interim bail for 14 days to Sharath Chandra Reddy and asked him to deposit a bond of Rs 2 lakh to the court.
