Warangal: Government chief whip and Warangal West MLA Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar along with Mayor Gundu Sudharani unfurled a 150-feet National Flag of the Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) on Thursday, marking the 74th Republic Day.

The event was held at the Bhadrakali Bund in Hanamkonda.

Bhaskar said the world’s largest constitution was framed by India. Its architect Dr BR Ambedkar included the rights of every section of the people in the constitution because of which, “we, the people, are enjoying the fruits of Independence.”

He said, “Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao who led the separate Telangana movement on the lines of Mahatma Gandhi’s freedom struggle not only achieved the goal but is ruling the state as per the ideology and thoughts enunciated by Babasaheb Ambedkar by implementing welfare schemes for all sections of people.”

It took only a few days for the GWMC to set up the 150-feet tall national flag of 48/32 size on the Bhadrakali bund in the historic city of Warangal. MP Pasanuri Dayakar, municipal commissioner Praveenya and KUDA chairman Sundarraj were present.
