Nandyal Celebrates Urdu as AP Recognises its Second Language

Kurnool: Celebrating the recent recognition of Urdu as Andhra Pradesh's second language, Nandyal MLA Shilpa Ravi Chandrakishore Reddy assured full government support for its development.

Speaking at an award ceremony for Urdu educators and achievers, he highlighted ongoing efforts like school renovations and promised to address any concerns.

MLC Issac Basha emphasised the government's commitment to Urdu, citing new facilities like Urdu Ghar, hostels, and coaching centers. He encouraged the Muslim community to utilise these resources to empower the language.

The event marked the achievements of renowned Urdu poet Shaik Hafeezur Rahman, recognised with a lifetime award, and Zaman Foundation founder M.V. Zaman, dedicated to language development. State best teacher awards were bestowed upon Urdu educators K. Kalimullah and Shaik Shamim Banu.

A vibrant Urdu Mushaira brought together poets from across the region, further bolstering the language's presence in Nandyal and beyond.
