Agneepath Scheme: Feedback from field is encouraging, says Army Chief

Indian Army chief General Manoj Pande said that the the new initiative of Agnipath was progressive.

At the Chanakya Defence Dialogue, Manoj Pande said that the first batch of 40,000 Agniveers have joined their units and the feedback from the field is good and encouraging.

Agneepath Army Bharti Scheme is a central government scheme for youth to give entry into the Indian army. In this scheme, the government gives 4 years of job in the Indian army with an annual package of up to 6.9 lakh. It was launched in 2022.
