HYDERABAD: Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering (MCEME) organised a seminar on “Industry Interaction on Solutions for Problem Statements of Indian Army” on Saturday.

The seminar mainly focused on an overview of problems being faced by Indian Army and how industry could get clarity and collaborate with Army on solving these problems, including through utilising niche technological domains. This would also fulfil the motto of “Atmanirbhar Bharat”.

Industry representatives participating in the seminar lauded the initiative undertaken by the Indian Army. They expressed confidence that proposals discussed during the seminar will translate into practical and innovative solutions for armed forces. 

MCEME organised the seminar in collaboration with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

The seminar was flagged off by Lieutenant General Raj Shukla, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, ARTRAC, who delivered the keynote address. Principal secretary (Industry, Commerce and IT) Jayesh Ranjan delivered the inaugural address. R. K. B. Jadeja, MD and CEO of Kalyani Rafael Advanced Systems, presented the industry perspective.

Major General K. V. Jauhar, Additional Director General, Army Design Bureau, spoke about the bureau’s perspectives and initiatives for reaching out to the Indian industry.
