AP Starts Work on State Vision Plan-2047

Vijayawada: As a part of Vikasit Bharat-2047, top officials of Andhra Pradesh have started an exercise to prepare the State Vision Plan-2047, in association with Niti Aayog.

Niti Aayog officials provide the necessary guidelines to the state officials to formulate the perspective plans for various departments. The growth strategy addresses, in specific, the primary, secondary and social sectors.

A three-day workshop under the auspices of the state planning department began at the state secretariat in Velagapudi on Wednesday. Niti Aayog additional secretary V. Radha presided over the event.

She said the central government undertook the Vikasit Bharat-2047 programme with the aim of providing permanent solutions to the problems faced by the citizens. It aimed at empowering them and providing the necessary infrastructure for building a modern India.

The central government would focus attention not only on national progress and also address regional aspirations. Niti Aayog is providing necessary training to the state officials to formulate the State Vision Plan – 2047, she said.

State planning department secretary Girija Shankar said that the government would formulate the necessary Perspective Plans to achieve strategic growth in the primary, secondary and social sectors in the state. These plans would aim at achieving growth in agriculture, animal husbandry, dairy, fisheries, horticulture, sericulture, marketing, co-operative, forestry, water resources, groundwater, minor irrigation, command area development etc in relation to the primary sector.
