From the flowery fields

The 10-day Onam celebrations begin today with Atham. Flower carpets will adorn every household and office; there will be competition all around on who makes the best of them. But unlike in the past, most of them will be a made with flowers brought in from neighbouring states.

DC  photographer Arunchandra Bose traveled to Gundlupet in Chamraj Nagar district in Karnataka on the Kerala-Karnataka border to find vast expanse of flower fields getting ready for Onam harvest.
