Chennai: Taking a serious view of the DMK working president M.K. Stalin’s averment to step up his agitations against Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit, the BJP on Sunday dared him to show black flags at Karnataka Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy and Congress leaders on the Cauvery issue.

“Stalin says he will continue to agitate against the Governor and show black flags at him for reviewing the schemes at district level. Will he show black flags or fly black balloons condemning Kumaraswamy for not nominating  members to the Cauvery Water Management Authority or the Congress leadership who have not acted in favour of Tamil Nadu?” BJP state president Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan asked.

Speaking to reporters here on Sunday, she said when he can show black flags at even the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and fly balloons condemning him on the Cauvery issue, he should stage similar agitations against Karnataka CM and Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi. “Are you going to take back your agitations against Prime Minister and Governor? All your agitations are mere waste,” Dr. Tamilisai added.

She also flayed the double standards of Mr. Stalin she said he would be the first to present the Governor with a memorandum on an issue and at the same time oppose him. “Why these double standards? The Governor knows what he is doing and is well within the purview of his office,,” the BJP senior said.
