Hyderabad: The AP Crime Investigation Department (CID) claimed on Saturday that they had recovered an audio clip in which former minister P. Narayana was purportedly heard instructing his daughter Sindhura regarding money transactions allegedly in connection with land purchases in the capital Amaravati region in Andhra Pradesh.

For the second day on Saturday, CID officials raided the residences of Narayana and his daughters Sindhura and Sharani in Madhapur, Kondapur, Gachibowli and Kukatpally, following Friday’s searches.

It was alleged that Narayana's family members had transferred huge amounts on the names of their employees Suguna and Sambasiva Rao, among others. They purchased 148 pieces of assigned land in Amaravati via this route and got registrations done on benami names.

The CID officials claimed they had found that when Narayana was minister during the TD regime in Andhra Pradesh, he had allegedly misused his powers in modifying the alignment of master plan to improve the value of the land in Amaravati.

"An audio clip was found in which Narayana asked his daughter to transfer the amount and hand it over in cash to their employees for purchasing the land. The audio clip will be sent to the forensic lab for verification," an official said.

The raids were carried out on Kola Luxuria and Lotha Apartments in Kondapur and Kukatpally. The CID officials, who collected bank account details, have verified the transaction details which were made by Narayana and his family members.

Earlier, the CID officials registered several cases against Narayana and his family members in connection with Amaravati land issues, SSC question paper leak and others.
