Hyderabad: Parkal MLA Revuri Prakash Reddy of the Congress directed the officials of various departments concerned to make elaborate arrangements for Sammakka and Saralamma jatara at Agrampahad village in Atmakur mandal of Hanamkonda district for the convenience of devotees.

The annual tribal carnival at Agrampahad is considered mini-Medaram jatara as it is held simultaneously with the Medaram jatara in Mulugu district from February 21 to February 24.

Before holding a review meeting with the officials, the MLA Prakash Reddy offered prayers to the tribal goddesses Sammakka and Saralamma.

The MLA enquired with the officials about the measures they have taken to provide arrangements for the visitors who are expected in large numbers to the celebrations.

By keeping in mind the difficulties faced by the devotees last year, the officials should take necessary measures to prevent the recurrence of such things this time, he noted.

Prepare a Detailed Project Report (DPR) about the requirement of funds for taking up various developmental works and basic facilities for devotees visiting the temple at Agrampahad, he added.

If need be, the issue of sanctioning funds will be taken to the notice of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, he said.

He warned the officials of action if they fail to ensure quality in the developmental works being taken up by contractors, checking sub-collectors.
