Kochi Metro Rail Limited trains auto drivers

The programme conducted by Kerala Institute of Labour Employment (KILE) aims at educating the auto drivers on safe driving and public interaction.

KOCHI: The Kochi Metro Rail Limited has  initiated a five-day training programme for the workers of Metro feeder autorickshaw service which was  inaugurated by KMRL MD Muhammad Hanish on Thursday. The programme conducted by Kerala Institute of Labour Employment (KILE) aims at educating the auto drivers on safe driving and public interaction.

“We need a more organised public transport system and our aim is to have autorickshaws with  mobile application facilities for booking, card swiping facilities for payment, GPS tracking for safety and operation control centre for more efficiency. We are working towards it,” said Mr Hanish.
