Privatization was to do away with social justice

Chennai, Oct 23: The Centre’s move to privatize all public sector institutions like the LIC was primarily aimed at doing with social justice and depriving the marginalized classes of jobs, VCK deputy general secretary Aloor Shah Nawaz said on Friday.

Speaking at a protest held by the SC/ST and OBC joint action committee of the LIC, he regretted that the government was handing over public sector companies to big corporate houses owned by people like Ambani and Adani on a platter.

The protest at the LIC building on Anna Salai was also to condemn the State government for being in cahoots with the Centre in its various anti- people’s activities.
