KAKINADA: Amalapuram police solved the mystery of Sripathi Malleeswari's death and found it was a murder. Malleeswari's body was found on July 7, according to Amalapuram DSP M. Ambika Prasad.

The Amalapuram town police opened a case under suspicion. He claimed that Gadi Nagababu alias Chinna divorced his wife, and Malleeswari alias Madhu divorced her husband as well.  Nagababu and Malleeswari then had a three-year live-in relationship.

However, on July 6 night, Nagababu killed her and the body was ferried by bike with the help of his owner's son Kamuju Narasimham in the early hours of July 7 and thrown into the Eedarapalli canal.
