Kurnool: Dr B.V.R. Mohan Reddy, chairman of IIT Hyderabad, said that future generations are pivotal for the development of our country and the growth of the new Industry 4.0 trend.

He acknowledged that IIITDM Kurnool has made significant progress within just nine years of its inception, leading not only in information technology but also in the fields of design and manufacturing.

IIIT-DM Kurnool held its fifth convocation on Saturday. Director Prof. D.V.L.N. Somayajulu provided insights into the institute's achievements in design and manufacturing for the academic year 2022-2023.

The courses and curricula at IIITDM Kurnool focus on fostering essential knowledge in engineering and sciences, covering areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Machine Learning, IoT, Quantum Computing, Design, and Manufacturing. A total of 117 B.Tech and M.Tech students were awarded degrees during this convocation.

Gold medals were awarded to the top students in various branches, including B.K. Sai Deepika Lahari, S. Pravalika, and Harsha Teja for their outstanding performance in tech CSE, ECE, and mechanical branches. Further, the Durvasa Manikyamba Memorial Gold medal was presented to K. Sai Dipika Lahari, who achieved the highest overall score in all categories.
