Traffic curbs in IT corridor modified

HYDERABAD: After several complaints against traffic diversions in the ever-busy IT corridor resulting in chaos, Cyberabad police modified diversions making alternate arrangements for the next 90 days. This will facilitate easy traffic movement and speed up flyover work.

ORR-bound traffic towards Miyapur or Cable Bridge will now have to take the upper Shilpa flyover. Traffic from Mehdipatnam and Gachibowli towards Miyapur has been diverted to the lower level flyover and move towards AIG Hospital, Ramky Towers, and Radisson Junction towards Miyapur.

Likewise traffic from Miyapur to Mehdipatnam via Kondapur has been diverted to Radisson Junction, AIG Hospital, Deloitte Junction and Gachibowli towards Mehdipatnam.

Traffic from Cable Bridge can now take the route via IKEA Rotary, Shilpa upper flyover and reach the ORR.

In order to facilitate free movement at IKEA Rotary, the U-turn has been extended towards C Gate towards Biodiversity Junction, NCC, AIG Hospital at IKEA Gate.

Traffic from Kukatpally can reach the Biodiversity Junction without any obstruction via Cyber Towers, IKEA underpass, Biodiversity Junction, Gachibowli.

Traffic from Gachibowli towards Kukatpally can take the Biodiversity Junction, Ikea underpass, Cyber Towers and Kukatpally.

Traffic towards Tech Mahindra from Miyapur can take a U-turn at Hitex Junction and reach the IT corridor and vice versa at Kothaguda Junction Cyberabad joint commissioner of police (traffic) Narayan Naik said, "We appeal to the public to cooperate with the traffic diversions for the next 90 days.”
