CM KCR was scheduled to leave for the national capital shortly after Christmas to focus on national politics and the BRS expansion plans in other states. However, his Delhi trip was postponed due to President Droupadi Murmu's visit to Telangana for a southern sojourn from December 26 to 30. HYDERABAD: BRS leaders from north Telangana districts are trying to mobilise people for a public meeting slated to be held at Loha Kandhar in Nanded district on March 26. It will be addressed by the party president and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao.

Encouraged by the response from locals for the first meeting in Maharashtra on February 5, the party high command has decided to conduct a second meeting also in Nanded on Sunday.

BRS Nizamabad district president and MLA A. Jeevan Reddy and Bodhan MLA Shakil Amer took up the responsibilities of mobilising people from north Telangana districts.

Loha Kandhar is around 100 kilometres from the Telangana state border.

Marathi-speaking people from the border areas of the two states are aware of the welfare schemes and developmental programmes taken up by the BRS government. Taking it as an advantage, BRS leadership is concentrating on border areas in order to get a foothold in Maharashtra.

Promotion of the ensuing public meeting is being done on vans with LED screens. A delegation of BRS leaders is camping in Nanded district to oversee the arrangements for the public meeting.
