Hyderabad: US Consulate General Jennifer Larson on Thursday inaugurated Fernandez Hospital's outpatient facility at Necklace Road here. She congratulated the hospital on completing 75 years of service.

Speaking on the occasion, Larson said that the clinic marked a significant milestone in Fernandez Hospital’s efforts to deliver mother and newborn care services in the city.

Dr Evita Fernandez, chairperson and managing director of Fernandez Foundation, said the outpatient facility was equipped with compassionate doctors, midwives, and specialists.

According to a statement, the Fernandez Clinic, at 40,000-square feet, will be one of India’s largest outpatient clinics, offering services in obstetrics, gynaecology, midwifery, foetal medicine, neonatology/paediatrics, genetics, physiotherapy, nutrition and dietetics.

It said the facility would run special clinics for women with twin pregnancies, medical complications and those desirous of a normal birth following a C-Section as well as 1-day ‘office procedures’ to help patients avoid the need for hospitalisation.
