Rajamahendravaram Medical College to start from this year
KAKINADA: The medical college being established at Rajamahendravaram in East Godavari district will start functioning from this 2023–24 academic year, announced area MP Margani Bharat.
After inspecting the ongoing construction work at the site of the college in Rajamahendravaram on Tuesday, Bharat said construction of all the buildings will be complete by the end of coming April.
The Rajamahendravaram MP Margani pointed out that the state government sanctioned 16 new medical colleges for the state. Out of that, it released funds to construct buildings for five medical colleges at Vizianagaram, Rajamahendravaram, Eluru, Nandyala and Machilipatnam.
The medical college at Rajamahendravaram is coming up on three acres of land with G+1 storey buildings. The medical college cum hospital will be of great benefit for people of East Godavari district, Bharat pointed out.
Andhra Pradesh Medical Infrastructure Development Corporation superintendent engineer S. Subrahmanyam and executive engineer K. Vijaya Bhaskara Reddy were among those present during the MP’s visit.
