ALAPPUZHA: Aroor legislator A.M. Ariff of the CPM on Sunday said one need not fear getting portrayed as an anti-national if one takes a stand against MR vaccination campaign. Inaugurating a state-level seminar organised by the Institute of Homeopaths here, Mr Ariff said he had brought up his children without administering MR vaccine.

“On the one hand the government is campaigning for MR vaccine, and on the other there is pressure to practise things that are not familiar,” he said.  “This has forced me to take a hypocritical stand in between. Everybody has a right to practice what they believe. At the same everybody is liable to comply with something.”
