KANNUR: BJP state president Kummanam Rajasekharan has demanded a court-monitored probe  into the murder of BJP worker E. Santhosh  at Andallur  here the other day.   He told reporters here on Saturday  that he had no faith in the state police which is controlled by the CPM. “The CPM-led government is smoking out the  police officials who are not ready to act in tune with the party diktat,”  he said.  “The transfer  of  north zone IG Dinendra Kashyap who took a stern stand against the CPM is part of the action,”  he added.

“The IAS and IPS officials of the state are afraid to take an  honest stand,”  he said and added that the police machinery of the district had  become an extension of the CPM with the three DySPs of Kannur acting as its spokespersons.  Kannur SP Sanjay Kumar Gurudin, known for his strict actions, has been shifted,”  Mr Rajasekharan alleged. “The message to the police is that everything in policing should be in Kannur style,” he said.   The CPM leaders were  spreading blatant lies on the murder. BJP would organise protest marches of women against the murder politics of CPM in all districts on Monday, he said.
