Tragic Collision Claims Four Lives, Including Child on National Highway near Afzalpur

Kalaburagi: Four people including a child were killed and one injured in a road accident on the National Highway near Afzalpur around midnight.

The victims, identified as Santhosh (40), Shankar (55), Siddamma (50), and Huchchappa (5), all hailing from Madiyal village, were traveling in a jeep from Afzalpur when the collision occurred around midnight.

The accident transpired between the victims' jeep and a truck en route from Kalaburagi, leading to the death of four. Pooja, the mother of the Huchchappa, sustained serious injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment.

Upon receiving news of the incident, senior police officials, including the Superintendent of Police and Aland DySP, visited the accident site. A case has been registered at the Afzalpur police station.
