Nattika ragging: State to bear treatment cost

The moratorium period was to expire on 31st this month.

Thiruvananthapuram: The cabinet on Tuesday decided to bear the expenses for the treatment of the ragging victims of Nattika Government Polytechnic College  from the chief minister's relief fund. The victims are  Avinash, Shyju and T. Gopi.   The cabinet also decided to extend the moratorium on repayment of loans taken by fishermen from various financial institutions by one year from January 1, 2017 to December 31.

The moratorium period was to expire on 31st this month. The cabinet decided to recommend to the government the premature release of life convicts Annamma, Lakshmi and Omana based on the recommendation of the advisory council of women's open jail.
