TTD’s garden wing sets up exhibition of mythological episodes

Tirupati: On the occasion of annual Karthika Brahmotsavams of Goddess Padmavathi which commenced in Tiruchanoor on Sunday, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) set up exhibitions of various mythological episodes of four yugas.

TTD executive officer A.V. Dharma Reddy formally inaugurated the exhibitions set up at the Friday Gardens in Tiruchanoor. Speaking on the occasion, the EO said the expo set up by the TTD garden department has episodes from Krita, Treta, Dwapara and Kali yuga and other famous contexts from various epics of Hindu Sanatana Dharma.

The sets include renowned episode of Ksheera Sagara Madhanam, wherein Goddess Lakshmi emerges while churning the ocean by deities and demons using Mandara Mount as churner and Vasuki serpent as rope, Lord Vishnu in Kurmavatara, killing of Tataki by Rama and Lakshmana under the instructions of Sage Vishwamitra, Surpanakha Garvabhangam, Annamacharya offering his literary works to Sri Venkateswara, Gomata in sand art and many other dioramas. Apart from these, the artistic mandapams, elephants, ratham and Goddess Mahalakshmi of Kolhapur decorated with vegetables, roses, petronia, salvia, begonia, and chrysanthemum stood as special attractions, among others, at the exhibition.

The expo by S.V. Ayurvedic College and Pyramid Spiritual Society expo on meditation etc. also enhanced the glory of the exhibition.
