ANANTAPUR: The gramotsavam of Goddess Srisaila Bramarambika will not be organised during forthcoming Dasara celebrations, Srisailam Temple executive officer Lavanna declared on Monday.

His announcement came after temple authorities held a review meeting keeping in view the continuing Coronavirus cases in the state.

The EO clarified that the Goddess will be taken out in a procession within the temple complex. There will, however, be no procession or gramotsavam in the temple town.

Srisailam shrine will be organising the annual Dasara celebrations from October 7 to October 15. A representative of the state government will submit silk clothes to the Goddess on October 14, Lavanna stated.
