KOZHIKODE: Kudumbasree director expelled its assistant mission coordinator M.C. Moideen over sending obscene messages to a Whatsapp group. The official on deputation will be facing action from the education department, according to local self-government minister K.T. Jaleel. He added that the issue was taken to the notice of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan also. It was alleged that Mr Moideen sent the message in a WhatsApp group with more than 200 female members. Though there were attempts to hush it up, the women stood firm and stressed that there should be action against the officer.

The controversial message was, whether pornographic pictures of girls aged 17 to 18 can be sent. However, the person admitted his mistake and said it was wrongly sent from his phone by his friend. However, the women insisted that only stringent action would prevent such attempts from people in responsible positions. The minister hinted that there would be action against him from the Education department too, as he is returning there after being expelled.
