Narayan Seva Sansthan conducted 127 corrective surgeries at Kumbh Mela 2019

NSS is serving pilgrims for their wheelchair needs and medical help through providing doctors and trained nursing staff at Kumbh Mela 2019.

Prayagraj: Narayan Seva Sansthan is hosting a Spiritual cum Surgical Camp in the most sacred gathering of humans at Kumbh Mela, where they are providing doctors and nursing staff to serve the pilgrims with the wheelchair and other medical help. In about 31 days operations of Spiritual cum Surgical Camp at Kumbh, Narayan Seva Sansthan has conducted 127 corrective surgeries, 616 OPD whereas over 52 artificial limbs, 95 Calipers, 11 Crutches, 11 Tricycles, and 11 Wheelchairs have been distributed till date.

NSS Army also provided their services at the time of Shahi Snan for disabled and old people where 136 volunteers are providing their help to pilgrims by keeping cleanliness, providing wheelchairs wherever needed and giving foot massages to the devotees.

After witnessing Narayan Seva Sansthan’s work in Kumbh Mela, few renowned personalities visited NSS camp like Governor of Uttarakhand, Hon'ble  Smt. Baby Rani Maurya, Yoga guru Baba Ramdev, and Sri. Ravi Shankar.

Prashant Agarwal, President of Narayan Seva Sansthan, said, “Our teams of prosthetic and orthotic engineers, orthopedic doctors along with the nursing staff are helping pilgrims. We are happily offering required therapies to patients after surgeries including physiotherapy, meditation, and yoga. We are here at the world's biggest religious gathering Kumbh, serving the society and spiritual good.

NSS has set up 100 bedded hospitals for facilitating and hosting the best of experience to pilgrims in Kumbh Mela. With the vision to liberate society’s views towards Specially Abled Individuals across the world, Narayan Seva Sansthan - a charitable organization that runs charitable hospitals in the country for specially-abled people, in particular, polio and by birth disabled, 480 branches in India and 86 branches abroad focusing on alleviating disabilities.
