Hyderabad: A day after Bhongir MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy visited Gandhi Bhavan and met PCC chief A. Revanth Reddy and AICC in-charge for (Telangana) Manikrao Thakre, former minister Konda Surekha demanded action against him.

She raised the issue during the extended executive committee meeting at Indira Bhavan here on Saturday. While expressing reservations over the soft corner of PCC leadership for Venkat Reddy, particularly in the wake of events revolving around Munugode bypoll, she said that the leadership must act cautiously while ensuring unity within the party.

Revanth Reddy stopped her from speaking about the issue saying the committee meeting was not the appropriate platform for it. He urged Surekha to take up the matter later with Thakre.

Later speaking to media persons, she felt that unless disciplinary action was taken against 'errant' leaders like Venkat Reddy, the party's discipline would be at stake. Demanding his ouster from the party, she alleged that he was the 'covert', who could damage the party prospects.
