WARANGAL: On the first Friday of Shravana Masam, a large number of devotees flocked to the Sri Bhadrakali Devi and Padmakshi Devi temples and offer prayers at Hanamkonda.

Many women along with their family members went to temples to offer prayers in the 'Pavitrotsa Masam' to the presiding deities and seek the goddesses' blessings. The temple priests gave prayers, vrathams, and homams to the presiding deities and performed Kunkumarchana, Lakshmi, Vishnu, and Lalitha Prayanamas.

Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar, the government whip and Warangal West MLA, DCC president Naini Rajendar Reddy, and BJP official spokesperson A. Rakesh paid a visit to the Bhadrakali shrine and offered prayers.

While Station Ghanpur BRS MLA Thatikonda Rajaiah performed Rajya Shyama Yagam at the Sri Bhadrakali temple premises and offered special prayers to the presiding goddess. Meanwhile, devotees encountered numerous issues due to a lack of basic amenities and arrangements at the historic Sri Bhadrakali temple. Standing in long serpentine queue lines was difficult for kids and the elderly.

The temple administration did not even provide temporary shelters or drinking water on the temple premises for the convenience of the pilgrims. Allowing worshippers to enter from the backyard of the temple rather than the main entrance caused a massive traffic bottleneck, generating complications for the devotees.
