Goods train derails in Boddavara Yard, express trains cancelled

 Visakhapatnam: A goods train derailed at Boddavara Yard in Kottavalasa-Kirandul line on Sunday. An official release from Waltair Division stated that six wagons of the train got derailed, which led to cancellation of two express trains in the route. The relief and rescue operations have started at the site on war footing under the supervision of divisional railway manager Anup Satpathy.

Meanwhile, accident relief trains from Koraput and Visakhapatnam reached the spot. This is the second derailment in the division in a week. Last week, a goods train derailed near Anakapalli leading toncancellation of many trains.

Due to the derailment of the goods trains, train No 18514 Visakhapatnam- Kiranudl night express leaving Visakhapatnam has been cancelled. The train no 18513 Kirandul- Visakhapatnam Night Express that left Kirandul on Sunday will run in a diverted route via Koraput, Rayagada, Vizianagaram to reach Visakhapatnam. Train No. 18513 Kirandul- Visakhapatnam night express leaving Kirandul on Monday has been cancelled.
