3 Ayyappa devotees from TS die in TN car accident

 Warangal: Three Ayyappa devotees, residents of Kamalapur village in Mangapet mandal of Mulugu district, died and two others were injured when the car in which they were travelling overturned after hitting a divider at the outskirts of the Devanambattu village in Tiruvannamalai district of Tamil Nadu in the early hours on Sunday.

Sub-inspector Ravi Kumar has identified the deceased as Thalari Sambaiah Naidu, 48, Narra Sambaiah, 45, and Raju, 42.

In all 10 Ayyappa devotees had hired two vehicles for having the darshan of Lord Ayyappa Swamy at Sabarimala in Kerala.

When they were returning from Kerala after offering prayers, one of the cars hit the divider and overturned killing three devotees on the spot and injuring two.

Devotees in the other car informed police, who shifted the injured to the local hospital in Athani on the borders of Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

Efforts are being made to shift bodies of the deceased to their village.
