Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh Revenue Services Association (APRSA) has requested Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Mukesh Kumar Meena to exempt public holidays like second Saturday, Sunday, Durgashtami, and Diwali for First Level Checking (FLC).

APRSA president Bopparaju Venkateswarlu, general secretary Chebrolu Krishna Murthy, and leaders Madhuri and Kishore met CEO Mukesh Kumar at his office here on Tuesday and submitted a representation in this regard.

Venkateswarlu said that the FLC is being conducted in all districts under the direction of the district election officers and collectors. However, the FCL is scheduled for October 15 to November 12, which includes many auspicious festivals like Dasara and Diwali.

He requested the CEO to exempt public holidays from the FLC schedule, so that revenue officials and other employees can celebrate the festivals with their families.
