Thiruvanathapuram: CPM on Tuesday took out a big protest march in Delhi and took to social media to counter BJP’s Janaraksha Yatra which concluded in Thiruvananthapuram in the presence of Amit Shah. The CPM workers took out the march to the BJP office in Delhi to protest against the anti-Kerala propaganda of the Sangh Parivar.   The party leaders said the participation of Amit Shah, central ministers and chief ministers of the BJP had failed to have any impact on the people of the state.

Yechury said the people of Kerala are aware of the recurring political violence unleashed by the Sangh Parivar. It was the RSS which started the murder politics in the state 45 years ago.The CPM general secretary said that there was a pattern in the violence triggered by the BJP. “Violent attacks are stepped up whenever LDF comes to power. The results of Vengara bypoll clearly indicated that the month-long virulent campaign failed to receive any support worth the name from the electorate,” he said.

The CPM leadership said that for the past 14 days the BJP had been organising marches to the party headquarters A K G Bhavan. Top leaders including union ministers were making provocative speeches to incite their workers. They said CPM offices were attacked at various places including Dehradun, Vishakhapatanam and Bhubaneshwar. The central leadership the Sangh Parivar had stepped up attack against the CPM because of the consistent campaign unleashed by the Left against their divisive and fascist agenda,

The leaders appealed to the cadre to expose the BJP-RSS on their communal politics; neo-liberal economic reforms; subversion of parliamentary democracy and educational and cultural institutions and their abject surrender to US imperialism.  The party felt that the declining popularity of the BJP and NDA had promoted the Sangh to attack the CPM. The CPM jathas beginning from Kasargod and Thiruvananthapuram on October 21 and covering the length and breadth of the state, will counter the Sangh propaganda.
