Kollam: Major Anush Thomas Koshy who led the construction works of Bailey bridge by the Indian Army has handed over a letter to PWD Minister G. Sudhakaran in which the Indian Army expresses gratitude to the minister and KSTP engineers for their support extended to complete the construction works. The Bailey bridge at Enath across the Kallada river was inaugurated by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on April 10.

The minister, in return, thanked the Central Defense Minister and other Army officers for their help. Meanwhile, Mr. G. Sudhakaran denied allegation that the height of the humps installed on the approach road to the bridge hinders vehicular traffic. “It is baseless that the height causes the vehicles to crash on it. Sign boards have been installed and no issues will occur if the passengers follow the speed limit,” he added.
