APSCPCR Warning Against Conducting of Classes in Dasara Holidays
Vijayawada: Kesali Appa Rao, chairperson AP State Commission for Protection of Child Rights has cautioned both private and government school authorities that, it is mandate to follow the Dasara vacations as notified by the Department of School Education, Government of A.P. and stringent actions will be taken against those who violate the instructions by commencing either off or online classes.
Appa Rao observed while addressing media at the commission's office in Mangalagiri on Monday that, commission has received complaints from a few districts that some of the schools are neglecting the instructions issued by the rules and regulations of the government in case of holidays. He worried that some of the schools are forcing the children over mobile phones for overburdened homework assigned to the children during holidays whereas few others corporate schools are commencing online classes.
Appa Rao advised to complaint to the toll-free number 1902 or 0863 2444270 or to the state child rights commission’s number 7702979797 or mail to apscpcr2018@gmail.com in case of anyone noticed that any of the schools commencing online or offline classes or online examinations to the children.
Commission chairperson Appa Rao instructed that there shall be stern vigilance by the mandal and district level officials of the education department to identify and take necessary action against those who run the classes during holidays.
