2BHK Houses Distribution to 13,200 Beneficiaries in GHMC Limits Set for September 21

 Hyderabad: The distribution of 2BHK houses to the poor under GHMC limits will be on September 21. This is under the second phase of the housing programmes.

As many as 13,200 beneficiaries were selected on Friday in an online draw, which was attended by ministers Mahmood Ali, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Sabitha Indra Reddy at the Hyderabad District Collectorate. GHMC commissioner Ronald Rose, Hyderabad district collector Anudeep Durishetty, Rangareddy district collector Harish and Medchal district collector Amoy Kumar were also present.

The houses will be distributed to the beneficiaries in nine areas.

Srinivas Rao, said, “On the directions of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, to fulfill the dream of owning a home for the poor people, construction of 1 lakh double bedroom houses with all facilities has been undertaken under the GHMC at a cost of Rs 10 thousand crore.”

He added, “In the first phase, 11,700 beneficiaries were selected and houses were distributed in eight areas on this September 2, by conducting an online draw in the randomisation method through a special software designed by the NIC (National Information Centre) in a very transparent manner.”
