Political parties post Vijay Diwas tribute on Twitter

HYDERABAD: Political leaders posted tributes on the defence forces on Vijay Diwas, the day the Indian military defeated Pakistan in the 1971 war that led to the creation of Bangladesh.

Union minister G. Kishan Reddy and senior BJP leader Tarun Chugh posted 1971 war material. I salute the brave soldiers of Mother India who defeated Pakistan by showing indomitable courage and valor in the Indo-Pak war of 1971,” Chugh wrote.  BJP MP Arvind Dharmapuri also joined them.

Congress leaders posted archived videos of late prime minister Indira Gandhi. “On the occasion of the historic day of defeating Pakistan under the leadership of iron lady Indiramma - liberating Bangladesh. Happy Vijaya Divas to the brave soldiers. #VijayDiwas2022,” the TS Congress said. TPCC president Revanth Reddy also put out a tribute.
