THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former KPCC president V. M. Sudheeran has submitted a report to AICC    vice-president Rahul Gandhi highlighting the political situation in the state and demanding that the tainted leaders should not be included in the 282-member governing council of the KPCC. Mr Sudheeran met Mr Rahul Gandhi in Delhi where the KPCC leaders had held discussions with him on Friday.   Mr Sudheeran apprised Mr Rahul of the fallout of the solar commission report and told him that the situation was  grim.  The  KPCC leadership will take time to  regain its  lost image, he said.

Earlier, the Congress leaders had met Mr Rahul Gandhi along with senior leader A. K. Antony separately and jointly. Over the last several days,  Mr Sudheeran had been preparing a report on the  KPCC list from which  eligible youths, newcomers, women and dalit leaders were left out. “Sudheeran wanted that the  tainted leaders should be kept away from the KPCC governing council,” said a leader close to  Mr Sudheeran. Mr Sudheeran, who met reporters here, refused to comment on the solar scam and said he had apprised the  central leadership about the situation.
