KOZHIKODE: Former chief minister Oommen Chandy has said that the LDF  government was trying to hide its failures  by diverting attention through  baseless allegations.   "I am  not afraid of any investigations against me in connection with the solar commission findings," he told a family meeting of Congress workers held at Kadiyangad, Perambra,  on Monday in connection with the birth centenary of former prime minister Indira Gandhi.

"I am not scared of any kind of investigations. The CPM will have to answer the public for trying to shame the Congress leaders with a solar weapon. The public is well aware of the failure of  the central and state governments. The people support  the UDF and their participation in the 'Padayorukkam' rally is  proof for that,"  Mr Chandy said.

Chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan and transport minister Thomas Chandy were having some 'agreement'  and hence the CM was not demanding his resignation, he alleged.   The meeting was  made a huge  event to show the party's  strength.  It was  presided over by booth president Naduvilakkandi Rajeevan and attended by KPCC general secretary N. Subrahmanian.
