Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala University of Health Sciences has made it clear that the university will  not approve  any admissions in medical colleges that did not upload the details of infrastructure on the website. The university registrar,  in a notice to the colleges,  pointed out that the oversight committee of the Medical Council of India (MCI) had listed uploading of infrastructure details on the website as one of the conditions for granting permission or renewal of permission to medical colleges and for establishing new medical colleges, increasing the seats, starting super specialty courses and increasing their seats for 2016-2017.

The items to be uploaded included the details of faculty, infrastructure, clinical material and bed occupancy. The union ministry of health and family welfare had said  that the  conditional approval granted for 2016-17 to the colleges which failed to comply with the order will be held in abeyance. In such circumstances, the university would not consider as valid the admissions to such colleges unless the oversight committee or the Union government permitted the admissions.
