Rains delay cremation of boy in Tumidiputtu village

Visakhapatnam: A body of 10-year-old boy Bhanu, who died of illness on Monday at Tumidiputtu village in Gummalakshmipuram panchayat of Munchangiputtu mandal, could not be cremated due to incessant rains.

Because of the rains, the river was overflowing. Hence, parents of Bhanu could not take his body to the cremation ground, which was across the river.

However, the water level in the river fell on Wednesday, following which the last rites for Bhanu were performed.
