Two dead, two critical in Outer Ring Road mishap

The condition of the two injured teachers, who were shifted to a hospital, was stated to be critical.

Hyderabad: Two state school teachers were killed and two others were seriously injured when the MUV in which they were travelling rammed into a roadside wall on the ORR on Thursday. The teachers were heading back to their homes in Hastinapuram from their school at Kothur. The victims are Venkateshwar Rao, 56, and Tirupati Reddy, and the survivors are E. Ravinder Reddy and  Rajaiah. Police said the vehicle was being driven by Venkateshwar though it was registered in Tirupati’s name.

“The car was speeding and the driver lost control and rammed into a divider,” said Adibatla inspector R. Govinda Reddy. Venkateshwar Rao and Tirupati Reddy died on the spot. The condition of the two injured teachers, who were shifted to a hospital, was stated to be critical. Police said no complaint had been lodged. The car has a pending challan for wrongly parking at Shamshabad bus stop under Shamshabad Police station limits over a year ago.
